Caregiver's Angel

Do you know someone who is a primary caregiver?

Oftentimes, concerns are so concentrated on the person who is ill, that the caregiver is swallowed up in his or her role. If enough time passes without some boundaries, the caregiver can wind up feeling like a non-person, with no life of their own.

Today’s post is dedicated to my friend who is living his days making sure that his wife has the best of care. He may not often be told “Thank You” but I just want to remind him that the man upstairs knows of the sacrifices that he’s making everyday.

CAREGIVER'S ANGEL

It takes a special person
With a selfless soul
To take care of the sick
And fulfill the role
Of being a caregiver
Day in and day out
To give of themselves
Without hesitation or doubt
Please know you have an angel
Who stays by your side
Who hopes you'll remember
You are God's joy and his pride.

SHAMELESS PLUG:
The above poem, when given with an angel, can
be just what the doctor ordered for the caregiver.
A cloth poetry angel hanging in their room will
remind them they are appreciated.
